Christmas Shopping, etc
After only sleeping about 2-3 hours Friday I got up at 5:30 Saturday to get my shower then woke Gail. We were off by 6:30 after making a stop at Tudor's for coffee. Thought we were going to have all day, but Lawrence had to work Saturday from 4:00AM to noon. So she had to be back to pick him up at 12. We did very well with our shopping and got everything done. I had wanted to go to Goodwill but we ran out of time.
Saturday was Dorothy's Christmas dinner, but when we got back from shopping Grace was breaking out in something that may be chicken pox we are still not sure. Anyway Gail didn't want to take her down there because of the other litle kids. So Billy, Mikael. and Treva went and Gail and I stayed home.
I wrapped presents. Everything I have is now wrapped except one for Billy. I either need to buy some more paper or put it in a bag. I used some bags but I like to wrap too.
The only thing Gail didn't find that Mikael wanted was the last Harry Potter PS2 game. I think she is going out later in the week to look for it some more.
I felt good Saturday then yesterday I was depressed and sleepy all day. I went in and got on my bed about 5 to finish reading the newspaper but started falling asleep. I was asleep by 6 if not earlier and I still did not want to get up this morning.
For the first time ever Mikael went shopping and bought her own presents for the family and she is so happy. She called and asked her Dad's family to all come over Christmas Eve.
George called this morning and I don't know how he did it but he is drinking. I don't know if he talked someone into going for it (surely not) or if he took a chance and went himself. Last week and the week before he sounded so much better. I was hoping it would last.
Christmas Trees & Candles
I am going to stop at the Farmers Market this evening and get some tree branches to tie together then I will hang them on the wall, put a set of twinkling lights on and hang some seashells on it for my own little "real" tree. I forget the name but a candle place is set up inside the market. They have the best smelling candles I have found in ages. I love the one called "Holiday Memories" it smells like I always remember our real trees smelling every year. I previously bought a small jar and 2 votives to try them out. Tonight or maybe at lunch I want to buy more so we can put them in every room.
A Twin Story
I printed out Christmas tree coloring pages for the twins. It was a simple tree with round circles for the ornaments. Gracie colored the tree green on hers and did not even touch the ball ornaments and Faith colored the ornaments red and did not color any of the tree. Put together I guess you could say they colored it right. I guess it takes 2 halves to make a whole with them. I thought it was fascinating how they did it.It was warm last night so after dark we took the twins for a walk to look at the lights and decorations. Faith is getting very aggravated with people asking her if she is ready for Christmas. She takes a deep breath growls and says "Why does everyone keep asking me that"!
School
Been in Insurance school again this week. Yuck!! Mikael got her report card yesterday and she was back on the A honor roll. She had all A's except for 2 B's.Brenda was in this week. I saw her for a while Tuesday. She is just never in long enough. We went Gaberiel's shopping then had lunch at 5th quarter. I talked to her this morning and she was on her way back home. She and Rick had got this virus everyone has had and were both sick. It's snowing today but we won't get any accumulation. Talked to George he sounded better but lonely. I told him I would call him tomorrow. We are both lonely and apart and it just does not make any sense.
